Our mission is to Narrow the Gap Between School Climate Research and School Climate Policy, Practice Guidelines and Teacher Education Policy

When school communities recognize, manage and work together to address the social, emotional, ethical and academic dimensions of school life, we create a democratic model and process that supports the development of skills and dispositions that provide the foundation for school and life success.

We invite you to join a growing group of policy, practice and teacher educator leaders in thinking about how we can work together to enable all children to grow up and learn in safe, caring, responsive and participatory schools and homes.

This site will include a growing body of information, resources, on-line conferences and learning forums about school climate research, policy, practice guidelines and teacher education. With your help and participation the NSCC can become a leading force for change.

The NSCC is a subsidiary of the Center for Social and Emotional Education and is governed by members of the National School Climate Council.
